How your information is looked after

Sharing details about your health takes trust. This page explains plainly what I collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who I am

Healthful You is the nutritional therapy practice of Sally Ashworth. I am the data controller for any personal information you share with me, and you can reach me at sally@healthfulyou.co.uk.

What I collect

I only collect what I need to respond to you and, if we work together, to support you properly:

  • Your name and email address when you send an enquiry or join the newsletter.
  • Anything you choose to include in an enquiry message.
  • If you become a client: your health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle, food diary and any test results you share. This is special category health data and is treated with extra care.

How I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call.
  • To send the monthly newsletter, if you have asked to receive it.
  • To deliver the programme, including your plan, follow-ups and check-ins.

Legal basis

I rely on your consent for the newsletter, on taking steps towards or performing a contract for enquiries and client work, and on your explicit consent for processing health information. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Where it is kept

Enquiries arrive by email. Client records, questionnaires and messages are held in the Practice Better client portal, which is designed for health practitioners and stores data securely. I never sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to working together are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as my professional body and insurer require, then securely deleted. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent first.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information I hold about you, or object to how it is used. Email me and I’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
